Is it hard to get into med school as a radiation therapist?
Jon D asked:
I have an associates in allied health. I will be entering the kaiser permanente radiation therapy program which is 18 months and includes a fair amount of clinical experience. Because it is a hospital based program I don’t get a bachelors degree upon completion. Will this hurt me getting into med school. I need to get an m.d. or d.o. to be a radiologist.

Route to a career as a radiologist?
BurningPyre asked:
Hello, I am a freshman at Georgia Tech currently pursuing a degree in Nuclear and Radiological Engineering. More importantly, I am considering a pre-med track to become a radiologist. I’ve done some research about med schools, but I’m still unsure about what I should do. Are there special programs for radiology? or is med school just med school? Should I continue with my intentions to fulfill my pre-med requirements? or should I just stick to the nuclear engineering? Thanks so much.

Which undergraduate degree to choose?
Britt P asked:
I’m going into grade 12 this year, and I’m interested in becoming a doctor, radiologist or anesthesiologist. I haven’t quite made up my mind. Anyhow, I’m having trouble deciding which undergraduate course to take in university? Would health sciences be a good course to take, or is there another one which would prepare me more for medical school? Help!!

Caitlin C asked:
I am currently going to school to get an associates degree as a radiologist tech. but I am also looking to major in something else but I don’t know which one I want to go for. Can you maybe give me some pro’s and con’s for each of the following:
Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Radiation Therapy
or Nuclear Medicine Technology
I am interested in all three but can’t really narrow my decision down by myself.

How difficult is it to become a pre-med student?
jessicalaurenbauer asked:
I recently graduated from College with a Communication and Art Bachelor Degree but don’t feel challenged and am thinking about going back to school to pursue medicine. I have a friend who is a Radiologist and says Medical schools are more open now to diverse backgrounds of students and if I did well on the MCATs I would get in.
